🍝 - Food: 5/5 🛎️ - Service 4/5 📍 - Location 4/5 A friend brought me to this small village near my hometown, and the short trip was worth it. Hand-made ice creams are not my cup of tea, but I must admit this one is us and memorable. On average, the variety of choices is of a mid-size ice cream shop, but the combination of the ingredients is unique. Here’s a summary of my experiences in short: Atmosphere & Place 5 ½: The place is too tiny for a proper in-place experience. I understand how difficult it is to run this type of business in this part of the Country. Anyway, I believe there’s a lot of room for improvement. Menu 8: As I said, the number of options is average for other ice cream shops. The value is in the mastery of handling the ingredients. I tried the “ricotta e pere (ricotta cheese and pears)” and the award-winning chocolate. Both of them were yummy! I missed some extra toppings, such as the cookie crumbs or chocolate drops. I love to pimp my ice cream. Service 8 ½: the proverbial hospitality of Lucania folks is fully respected here. The shop staff served us with a smile, and we received all the info about the tastes and their best match. Awesome! Bill 7: on average, for a mid-size ice cream.
If you happen to come to Pignola this is the place you absolutely have to visit. I don't think I ever tasted such great ice-cream. Absolute recommendation for Madagascar chocolate which was my favourite, but everything is equally tasty and worth trying. The service is impeccable, you can taste some flavours before you decide what to get and they ame to perfection. If Louigi doesn't think it's perfectly arranged you won't get it until it is 😁
I'm not an ice-cream lover, but mango-passion fruit mixture is out of this world! That aroma and texture - perfect blend!
